Ediția din 2025 a conferinței internaționale Developments in eSystems Engineering (DeSE) marchează cea de-a 18-a aniversare a acestui prestigios eveniment.

Anul acesta, DeSE 2025 va fi găzduită și co-organizată de Institutul Național de Cercetare-Dezvoltare pentru Optoelectronică – INOE 2000, în perioada 10-12 Noiembrie 2025, la Hotel Sheraton, în București, România (https://dese.ai/dese-2025/).

Împreună cu Muzeul de Istorie Națională și Arheologie din Constanța, Muzeul Municipal „Regina Maria” Iași și Complexul Muzeal Național „Moldova” Iași, vă invităm să vizitați la Palatul Braunstein din Iași expoziția „Ars sacra. Primul mileniu al erei creștine în Dobrogea”, manifestarea culturală ce se bucură de înaltul patronaj al Mitropoliei Moldovei și Bucovinei și de susținerea Primăriei Municipiului Iași și Consiliului Județean Constanța. 

Expoziția reunește bunuri culturale de o valoare istorică deosebită, piese arheologice din secolele III-X d. Hr., precum și o replică a celebrului mormânt pictat de la Tomis, ce a fost realizată de către INOE in 2015 și expusă până de curând în cadrul Muzeului de Istorie Națională și Arheologie din Constanța.

October 17, 2025 – The latest issue of InHouse (No. 89) by the Romanian National Authority for Research includes a special feature (pp. 14–15) on monitoring the air pollution impact of the recent fire in Pantelimon, Bucharest.

Using the ACTRIS infrastructure, researchers tracked pollutant dispersion and air quality changes across Bucharest and nearby areas. The data offers valuable insight into short-term pollution spikes and public health implications.

Florence, 12–14 November 2025E-RIHS will host the E-RIHS ERIC Opening Days, a three-day event designed to bring together members, partners, and stakeholders.

The Open Days will take place at the Central Hub in Florence, located in the regenerated industrial site of Manifattura Tabacchi, the permanent headquarters of E-RIHS ERIC.

National Institute of Reseach and Development for Optoelectronics INOE 2000 participated in the prestigious International Salon of Inventions and Innovations „Traian Vuia”, held in Timișoara, during 3–4 October 2025.

Our colleague, Dr. eng. Alina Dragomir received the Gold Medal from the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, in recognition of her contributions in the field of optoelectronics.. 

The Ministry of Education and Research, through the National Research Authority, has appointed independent expert evaluators to assess the performance of 18 research organizations in Romania, under Law no. 25/2023. The evaluation process, which will later be extended nationwide, aims to ensure a transparent and objective analysis aligned with the standards of the European Research Area.

The initiative seeks to strengthen international competitiveness, support institutional modernization, and link research funding directly to demonstrated performance.

“This is one of the most important reforms in the Romanian academic environment, which will redefine the architecture of the national research and higher education systems,” stated Prof. Daniel David, Minister of Education and Research.

On the evening of 23 September 2025, a large fire broke out at a warehouse in Sector 2 of Bucharest, on the former Antrefrig industrial platform in Pantelimon. At the time of the fire, the Bucharest area was under stable atmospheric conditions with light to moderate winds from the northeast and east, directing smoke towards the observatory. Smoke particles were distributed from ground level up to 400 m altitude.

Around 23:00, RADO-Bucharest instruments recorded:

  • Instantaneous PM1 mass concentrations about five times higher than on the previous day;

  • PM10 mass concentrations reaching up to 150 µg/m³.

The General Association of Engineers in Romania (AGIR) has granted the prestigious “Elisa Leonida Zamfirescu” Prize, an award dedicated to women engineers distinguished by professional excellence, to Dr. Eng. Roxana Rădvan, Director of the National Institute for Research and Development in Optoelectronics – INOE 2000.

This recognition honors the outstanding contributions of Dr. Eng. Roxana Rădvan in applied scientific research, technological innovation, and institutional leadership, highlighting the essential role of women engineers in the advancement of science and technology in Romania.

The First Annual Consortium Meeting of the HE project Intelligent advanced Photonics Tools for remote and/or on-site monitoring of Cultural Heritage monuments and artefacts - IPhotoCult was organised by CERTO - INOE 2000 on 8th of September in Măgurele, România.

On September 3–4, 2025, INOE 2000 participated in the second edition of the Workshop-ului național dedicat rezultatelor obținute de institutele naționale de cercetare-dezvoltare în perioada 2021‑2024.
